Activity One: A Musical Introduction


The purpose of this activity is to have students listen to Mozart and convey their responses through creating a piece of art. 


 


1. Play Piano Sonata "Rondo alla Turca" K. 331 for your students. Provide the class with drawing paper, crayons and colored pencils. Ask them to draw as they listen.


 


2. Invite students to share their artwork with their classmates. Discuss how feelings about music can be captured through creating art. Post students’ drawings in the classroom for others to view.
