Building Background Activity

The purpose of this activity is to introduce students to a current-day young violinist.

1. As a class, listen to an NPR podcast of an episode of From the Top at podcastdirectory.com. This podcast features the story of a young violinist and his musical experiences. When you are finished listening, lead a class discussion about any similarities and differences in his experiences and what the students have learned about Mozart from viewing episodes of Wunderkind Little Amadeus.
