The Dancing Harbor
OVERVIEW: One of the most wonderful parts of music is the joy of performance. In this lesson, students will listen to a young violinist share her musical experiences and how music reflects her feelings and compare this to Little Amadeus’ adventure in the episode entitled “The Dancing Harbor.” They will also learn about meter signatures as they explore the connection between movement and rhythm.
OBJECTIVES:
Students will do the following:
- Listen to a podcast featuring a young violinist
- View an episode of Wunderkind Little Amadeus
- Create a comparison chart
- Learn about meter and time signatures
